About the project:

A smart home starts with smart WiFi." With this premise, the idea of ​​creating a Smart WiFi application was born in Telefonica.

The project started trying to understand how people could control their WiFi from home. All this was possible to the development of the technology of the new Telefónica Router and its application for Android and iOS Smart WiFi.

But WiFi control is not yet comprehensible for all users and sometimes, they don’t easily find the way to interact with it so far. Always ahead of the curve, Telefonica wanted to develop a more understandable way of managing connectivity for its customers.

Here you will find some of the main functionalities we worked on:
- Change the name and password of your WiFi.
- Assign devices to people who regularly use WiFi.
- Pause the connection of the devices in the time band that the administrator decides.
- Manage the WiFi connection inside and outside the home.
- Browse risk-free, avoid malicious web pages ...
- Block "WiFi thieves".
- In addition, it is a service that allows you to optimize the quality of your WiFi with a single click.

It was an outstanding experience to build the MVP of a Smart WiFi in Telefonica. The possibilities a WiFi connection could have, the technical knowledge from Telefonica Team and the motivation was just fascinating!
